Storigami
In 1945, the city of Hiroshima experienced a devastating atomic bomb. The nucleur radiation from the bomb affected many Japanese residents--including Sasaki Sadako, a mere twelve year old girl. After being diagnosed with leukemia, Sadako was hospitalized. There she was told of the myth that after folding a thousand paper cranes, the folder would be granted a single wish.
Storigami is a composition of the Japanese art of origami, ornate coloring templates, and a lighthearted story. The story revolves around the crane who received news of the existence of his 999 family members. Follow him on his magnificent journey to find them.
Storigami hopes to shine greater light on the malady that is leukemia because no one deserves to die in such a way as Sadako did. 25% of Crane's profits will go to Mealshare, a charity established to serve nourishing meals to children all accross Canada, if there's a place to start the march on leukemia, proper nutrition is one of them.
